Destro #3
SCORE: 64
I feel like Destro #3 just floundered around and squandered an
opportunity. Some of the things that happen in Destro #3 make little to
no sense to me at all. This comic book cost me $3.99. There are twenty
pages of comic book content within Destro #3. After the comic book
content in Destro #3 we get two pages of letters, a page devoted to the
next issue and some advertisements.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Destro #3 comic book. Destro
and Chameleon fight it out in the snow in Destro #3. Destro talks about
how he will not fall before his ancestors since he is near their burial
ground. Chameleon makes sure Destro is dead after shooting him with a
sniper rifle. Then later Chameleon just assumes Destro died when there
is an explosion. If Chameleon was a professional she would have followed
through.
The wrist rockets for Destro do not work in Destro #3. It is assumed
that Chameleon had some localized EMP that shorted them out. We do not
learn a lot about Chameleon in Destro #3. Mercer and Scrap-Iron have an
interesting conversation in Destro #3. They look at the weapons that
attacked them and realized the twins could not be responsible for them.
The whole war between these two organizations has been a waste of time.
Sadly they are not able to let Destro know.
After Destro survives the assassination attempt in Destro #3 he decides
to walk, and hitch hike to a military base. There he summons a general
in the US Military. Who does he summon? Destro gets to talk to General
Flagg. We learn why the silver mask is worn by the Destro clan. We learn
the history of it in Destro #3. We also learn that these high ranking
people need their arms dealers because they provide for them in times of
need.
Destro wants to stay dead in the eyes of the world because he figures
someone in his company is not loyal to him. Thing is that would leave
his company open to being taken over by the twins. I am not sure how
this course of action will help Destro. I guess I will need to keep
reading to find out for certain. I would think Destro would go back to
his company and find out how his attack on the twins went. Destro #3
does not show that at all.
