Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition

If you watched the November 2023 Haul then you saw Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition. This is one of the Black Friday purchases I made in 2023. I really did not know what to expect from this graphic novel that is a bit on the light side. Batman turns eighty years old in Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition. In fact Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition is only one hundred and seventy-six pages. Although I did get a deal when I only paid $4.99 for it.

The issues families can have with Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition are violence, blood, lack of attire, enticement lust, bad language, and more. There are a collection of short and small stories within Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition. In fact there is no real theme or connection between the stories in Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition. I found myself going from one story to another.

The end of Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition is actually pretty interesting and cool. There are all these variant covers found within Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition. It was interesting to in essence see all of these pages of artwork. There is a nice hardcover on Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition as well. I like these much more than the floppy covers of many other graphic novels.

The future stories are actually interesting in Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition. I like the one where the Penguin let Bruce Wayne know that he knew he was Batman. He did not reveal it because Penguin realized that it would free Batman to go all out on them. So he kept his secret. After Penguin gets a shock he finds out that Bruce knew he knew. A pretty typical Batman thing to do.

There are different art styles and tones used throughout the Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition graphic novel. Some of them I like better than others. Each person will have their own preferences for what kind of a style they personally enjoy. I found a few within Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe Edition. I really liked the one that told a different story on every single page.
