Echo Season 1

As I keep moving through Disney+ I ran into the Echo Season 1 television show. This is another Marvel one that was highly controversial and divisive. There are five episodes that range from thirty-seven minutes to fifty-one minutes in terms of length. There were advertisements, lag, and glitches while watching Echo Season 1. There is also quite a bit of propaganda in this show.

There will be spoilers in my review of the Echo Season 1 show. The issues families can have with Echo Season 1 are nudity, violence, blood, bad language, sexism and racism. Echo Season 1 easily fits into the category of war on men. Echo Season 1 also has plenty of racism against white people. The ancestors of the Choctaw come and fight for them. They echo across the centuries.

Echo Season 1 revolves around Maya Lopez. She is deaf and also an amputee. She is missing part of her right leg in Echo Season 1. Maya winds up working for the Kingpin after her father is killed. Echo Season 1 leads viewers to believe that Kingpin had her father killed to make her part of his family. Plenty of people are murdered by Kingpin in Echo Season 1. Maya kills quite a few herself.

Echo Season 1 has themes like I will never forgive someone. In the last episode they finally forgive because of the ancestors. Maya turns from a killer to a healer at the end of Echo Season 1. The cut scene in the credits reminds me of the comics. Kingpin is looking at running for mayor in that cut scene. I know the Kingpin winds up becoming mayor in the comic books.

Most of Echo Season 1 is a downer and not very realistic. Supposedly Maya is this amazing fighter that can go toe to toe with Daredevil. Motives of characters do not always make sense in Echo Season 1. Characters go from wanting to stay out of a fight to completely behind Maya. No legitimate reasons are given either. Probably because Echo Season 1 feels so rushed.

Viewers must read a lot of Echo Season 1 since sign language is used a lot. Certain characters supposedly have mystical powers in Echo Season 1. Those powers help them fight off Kingpin and his men. Those powers did not help them from getting conquered in the past though. Echo Season 1 exhibits a real hatred of the current American culture. Disney wants you to give them money to be lectured, preached at, and told how horrible you are.
