G.I. Joe #1

Image Comics finally ran their Energon Universe version of G.I. Joe. I find something really odd about G.I. Joe #1. It says volume one, but I know for a fact in the past Image Comics has published at least one other G.I. Joe #1 comic book. Shouldn't they be accurate with that? Why did they miss the boat there? Because they lost the license and someone else had G.I. Joe comic books?

There will be spoilers in my review of the G.I. Joe #1 comic book. The price of this comic book was $4.99. There are thirty pages of comic book content within G.I. Joe #1. There is a page by Joshua Willamson near the end of G.I. Joe #1. There are also four pages of pictures of people related to Skybound Insiders. I have no idea what that is about. There are also a couple of advertisements within G.I. Joe #1.

I have been open and honest about my opinions of the current state of the G.I. Joe comic books. G.I. Joe #1 is not as horrible as those mini series of Cobra Commander, Duke, Destro or Scarlett. I am not a fan of the changes that have been made to the characters thus far. I do think it was cool to see Cover Girl in G.I. Joe #1. It is a shame she is so mean, nasty, and hateful to someone being nice to her.

The issues families can have with G.I. Joe #1 are violence, blood, bad language and more. I do not like the art in G.I. Joe #1. I find the art to be ugly, annoying, and obnoxious. I know the people that print the emails for Image Comics only select the brown nosers that tell them what they want to hear. They have no voice of diversity at Image Comics when it comes to thought. They only accept brainwashed little lemmings.

Duke is selecting his team in G.I. Joe #1. The different characters are training. The Baroness is on the side of the Joes right now but I do not expect that to last for long. A main and major character may die near the end of G.I. Joe #1. Will we see Doc or Lifeline? I can hope. Cobra is attacking a military installation where Transformer parts are being held. Cobra Commander is pretty messed up in G.I. Joe #1.
