G.I. Joe #12
SCORE: 72
I played with the G.I. Joe action figures when I was a kid. The ones
that were three and three fourths inches tall. I had a really nice
collection of G.I. Joe and Cobra characters, and vehicles back in the
day. I wound up selling most of them off not long after getting married.
I also read a lot of the Marvel comic books back in the day. I saw G.I.
Joe #12 at McKays and decided to check it out. The story feels families
but I am not sure why.
There will be spoilers in my review of the G.I. Joe #12 comic book. The
art style, and direction are fantastic in G.I. Joe #12. Back in November
of 2002 G.I. Joe #12 sold for $2.95. The comic is in pretty good shape
and I was able to purchase it for $1.50. That package included the comic
book, a clear plastic cover, and a board to keep it in the right shape.
G.I. Joe #12 is the third part of a four part storyline. The storyline
in G.I. Joe #12 is Malfunction. An extremely advanced B.A.T. is being
hunted by both G.I. Joe and Cobra. Both sides are trying to get this
battle android trooper for different reasons. The Dreadnocks are in the
sewers of Chicago trying to get this robot back to Cobra. G.I. Joe is
trying to get intel on Cobra.
The back of the front cover contains a recap along with the credits.
There are twenty-two pages of comic book content within G.I. Joe #12.
There are also two letter pages in G.I. Joe #12. On top of that G.I. Joe
#12 contains a five page preview of Invincible #1. It is funny to me
that I recently read and reviewed that comic book. The issues families
can have with G.I. Joe #12 are violence, blood, bad language and more.
The art in G.I. Joe #12 has a very bubbly look and feel to it. One of
the letters in G.I. Joe #12 does not like the story direction in some
previous issues. G.I. Joe #12 actually prints that. This topic has been
one of my complaints against a lot of the modern comic books right now -
they only print those that agree with them. G.I. Joe #12 shows more
character and class than any of the current G.I. Joe comic books.
