G.I. Joe Volume 2 #12

I am starting to notice an interesting pattern in terms of comic books that relate to G.I. Joe. Marvel did many of them for quite a few years. Then the license hopped around some. Image Comics did some, IDW Publishing did some, and now the license is back to Image Comics. G.I. Joe Volume 2 #12 is from IDW Publishing. Back in January of 2014 G.I. Joe Volume 2 #12 cost $3.99. It only cost me $1.95 and the comic is in pretty good shape.

There will be spoilers in my review of the G.I. Joe Volume 2 #12 comic book. G.I. Joe Volume 2 #12 has one main story. This PR lady is working for Cobra to improve their image. In return they will find her son that is in the hands of slave traders. Cobra Commander wants her to focus on the past. Her initial idea is to tell the story of where the organization is going. Records of Cobra are provided to her.

The Baroness captures pirates on the sea to find a certain person. The men are relucant to share any information. This lady shares different stories that we are led to believe are the past of Cobra. I guess Cobra has been around for a very long time with all kinds of different Commanders. I am totally unfamiliar with this concept in the G.I. Joe universe. The art in G.I. Joe Volume 2 #12 is on the dark side.

There are twenty-six total pages of comic book content within G.I. Joe Volume 2 #12. There is a page devoted to the next issue and some advertisements. The stories told in G.I. Joe Volume 2 #12 are A Coward's Heart (six pages), The Debt (eight pages), and The Gardner (4 pages). Concepts of not being in debt to someone else as well as how to manipulate people are shared in G.I. Joe Volume 2 #12.

How this one gentleman that had been a prisoner deals with his debt is horrible. He kills this young man to ensure he never strays from the path of good. The issues families can have with G.I. Joe Volume 2 #12 are violence, bad language, blood, and more. The attitudes in G.I. Joe Volume 2 #12 are ruthless, nasty, rude, and hateful. Cobra wants to be feared. That will lead to resistance.
