Garfield #16

Every time I get to read and review a comic book I get really excited. I feel like I can swipe one more item off my to-do listing. Garfield #16 is another one of those comic books. I diligently work through the materials I have awaiting my time and attention. Garfield #16 is the most recent comic book I read. This comic book has two major stories in it. The first story is Lemonade Lily, and the second one is By Jon Arbuckle. There are some additional pages after that as well.

There will be spoilers in my review of the Garfield #16 comic book. The first story in Garfield #16 is twelve pages long. The second story in Garfield #16 is ten pages long. We then get one page of Garfield Sunday classics (in color). Then there are four pages of Garfield Goes Green. The last few pages in Garfield #16 are advertisements for other comic books from that era.

The first story is about how this little girl's lemonade is really good but this guy with a van comes by and sells to her customers. Garfield loves getting free stuff in Garfield #16. The man's lemonade is horrible in Garfield #16. The girl Lily has some really good lemonade. They both are racing to a lady that wants a delivery. The lady chooses Lily's lemonade as the better one. The two then decide to work together in the future.

The second story breaks the fourth wall the entire time. Jon is writing a story about himself and narrating along the way. Garfield is giving snide comments about what is happening in this story. Jon makes himself to be the hero in the second story in Garfield #16. Garfield decides at the end of Garfield #16 to write his own story that follows a similar path.

Garfield #16 cost us $3.99 back in the day. There is some humor within Garfield #16. There are some really funny comments in the Garfield Goes Green pages. For example Garfield is holding onto an ice cream truck asking if this counts in terms of taking public transportation. The art is good throughout the Garfield #16 comic book. There are twenty-seven pages of comic book content within Garfield #16.
