Garfield #2
SCORE: 84
Noah had some very interesting comics in his room for all of those
years. I am very excited to be able to read and review Garfield #2. This
comic book continues the Garfield humor. There are also two different
stories within this comic book. The first one is Sticking Point and it
is twelve pages long. The second one is Down for the Count and it is ten
pages long. The total comic book content within Garfield #2 is
twenty-two pages.
The issues families can have with Garfield #2 are theft, violence, lack
of attire, and more. There is a Marilyn Monroe moment within Garfield
#2. This lady in a white dress is over a vent holding her dress down.
Garfield happens to get mud on her thanks to a hot dog cart he is riding
down the street at the time. Garfield even comments on a mud puddle
being there right next to this lady in Garfield #2.
One of the lessons in Garfield #2 is to never throw a stick. Garfield
throws this stick for Odie, and an alien happens to crash near their
house. So guess what happens next in Garfield #2? Odie brings back a
piece of the ship that looks similar to a stick. This power rod from the
alien ship is like a wishing wand. Garfield can wish for whatever he
wants. The alien tries to destroy the power rod but it just winds up
making Garfield fly around.
The solution to this problem is to use a wish so none of this ever
happened. Like Jon being sent to the arctic because his musical playing
was annoying Garfield. None of the cool things happened like Garfield
getting fifty pizzas. I found that to be a real shame. It was getting
interesting too. I wish that story had been fleshed out into an entire
comic book personally. That may just be me though.
The second story in Garfield #2 is about Jon trying to count all of
these jelly beans in a jar. If you can get the exact number right then
you will earn fifty dollars. Jon keeps getting interrupted. Garfield
comes by and immediately knows the number. So Jon gets the money. Sadly
Jon loses most of the money to things Garfield destroyed while Jon was
counting. Jon did end up with one dollar at the end of Garfield #2.
