Garfield #31

This might be the last Garfield comic book in my pile to read. I would need to dig way down and verify there are no more. As of right now I think this might be the last one. Little by little I am working my way through the pile in hopes of getting caught up at some point in the future. Garfield #31 is a fantastic comic book to read. I really enjoyed this comic book and am thankful Noah found it while cleaning.

There will be spoilers in my review of this comic book. Garfield #31 cost us $3.99 back in the day. Garfield #31 is all about Thanksgiving. Garfield #31 actually teaches readers to be thankful. The first story in Garfield #31 is Thanks 4 Giving. This story is twelve pages long. Garfield goes out for a walk since it is such a beautiful day. He is eager to get some turkey lasagna. Then things take a turn.

Garfield runs across some stray cats out by the trains. They are not having a good day. Garfield decides he will get these three cats adopted. He gets the first two adopted really quickly but the third one has a bit of a bad attitude. Garfield fails, and cannot really enjoy his turkey lasagna. What does Garfield do? Garfield decides to take his food to this third cat. When he gets there he sees the cat being adopted by a family.

The second story in Garfield #31 is Little Red Riding Cat. The art is different in the second story but not as horrible as some of the art I saw in other Garfield comic books. This cat has a big sandwich before bed and winds up having a crazy dream. The humor is all of these different fables that are touched on. Characters tell this cat he is in the wrong story and go back a take a different direction.

The second story in Garfield #31 is ten pages long. After that we get four pages of Garfield like memes. One of them actually encourages gluttony. Then we have a page devoted to the Garfield Sunday Classics. There is some humor in them as well. Those comics relate to family. All in all I really liked Garfield #31. I may need to see if I can find some of the missing comics in the future.
