Gargoyles #12

Today is a bitter sweet day for me personally. I absolutely love it when a series ends and I can move onto something else. I was actually getting into the Gargoyles comic books so I am a bit bummed to find out that Gargoyles #12 is the last one. I have been reading this comic book for a year now. Maybe it has not done that well. I really have no clue as to sales. We have certainly spent a lot of money on this series.

There will be spoilers in this review. Gargoyles #12 wraps up the storylines quite nicely. The end of Gargoyles #12 lets us know that Gargoyles Quest will be the next series coming up. I am starting to believe that gentleman at our local comic book story about everybody wanting a number one issue. They could have kept this series going and moved into the next storyline. But no, they decide to wrap it up and get another series going to have another number one issue.

There is a bit of violent content within Gargoyles #12. It looks like Dino Dracon dies in Gargoyles #12. There is a note that no body was found, so maybe he is still alive. Coldstone narrates and it looks like he will be a sleeper agent for that magical lady from a previous issue. Coldstone has concerns but Goliath is just too busy with so many other things. Coldstone is not happy with the change that happens to the clan.

There are twenty-four pages of comic book content within Gargoyles #12. Then we see the first issue cover for Gargoyles Quest, advertisements, and finally the cover gallery. Gargoyles #12 cost me $3.99. The price and amount of comic book content is better in Gargoyles #12 than plenty of other comic books I have read recently. I absolutely appreciate that. They did a ton of different covers for Gargoyles #12.

The gangs get together and the Gargoyles sort of take over. All these different gangs owe the Gargoyles for different things that happened in this series. Dino Dracon tries to blow up different characters and frame the other gangs for it. The Gargoyles are tipped off and wind up stopping the plot. At the end the Gargoyles work with the task force. I am curious to see where things go from here.
