Gargoyles Dark Ages #4
SCORE: 75
My impression of Gargoyles Dark Ages #4 is that it was a really slow
comic book with not a lot happening. I thought about it again and
realized Gargoyles Dark Ages #4 is one of those building issues. Sure
there is not a lot of action. Sure there is not progress in the
storyline. The foundations are being built. Things are being started.
New characters appear and something is bound to happen at some point in
the future.
There will be spoilers in this review of Gargoyles Dark Ages #4. An old
foundation is found when the castle is being built in Gargoyles Dark
Ages #4. The humans work by day and protect the Gargoyles. At night the
Gargoyles work and protect the humans. It is a mutually beneficial
arrangement in Gargoyles Dark Ages #4. Humans and Gargoyles are becoming
friends in Gargoyles Dark Ages #4.
The Light Bringers show up to perform for their supper in Gargoyles Dark
Ages #4. There is some conversation and the Light Bringers seem decent
in Gargoyles Dark Ages #4. I may have a suspicious mind but I have a
feeling there is something nefarious about the Light Bringers. I will be
happy to be wrong about that gut feeling. I just suspect them for some
reason.
Gargoyles Dark Ages #4 contains twenty-two pages of comic book content,
then a page devoted to the next issue, three pages for the tales of the
three brothers part the fourth, some ads for other comic books, and
finally the cover gallery. The page devoted to the next issue makes me
think things are going to pick up in the next issue. We will get back to
that dragon and more.
There is building, working together, and training in Gargoyles Dark Ages
#4. Two characters are training to be more than they currently are.
Magic is referenced, but not shown or used in Gargoyles Dark Ages #4.
One character wants to become a warrior priestess. There is no
information on whatever religious belief they happen to have though. For
a thirteen and older only comic book Gargoyles Dark Ages #4 is pretty
tame.
