Guardians of the Galaxy #8

I decided after reading Guardians of the Galaxy #7 that I would be done with this series. The only issue is I had already purchased a copy of Guardians of the Galaxy #8. So I dropped Guardians of the Galaxy #8 in my pile and now that I have gotten to it I will give it a review. There is nothing in Guardians of the Galaxy #8 that makes me want to go back to this series in any way, shape, or form. There will be spoilers in this review.

The recap of the series is on the credits page. We have garden or plant Guardians of the Galaxy now. They are in essence in service of Groot. They are sent by Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy #8 to go and take over this one area that is resisting Groot. I guess Groot needs all of it before he can bloom. There is also a bit of a secret within Guardians of the Galaxy #8. These different gardens rise and fall over time. The ones that fall are waiting for their turn again.

The issues families can have with Guardians of the Galaxy #8 are violence, blood, sexual deviancy, lack of attire, enticement to lust, false gods and more. Advertisements can be found throughout the Guardians of the Galaxy #8 comic book. There are twenty pages of comic book content within Guardians of the Galaxy #8. The Bullpen Bulletins is all about Stepanie Phillips. She sounds like a real piece of work.

The Groot Guardians of the Galaxy win in Guardians of the Galaxy #8. They take over the area for Groot. The green is all over the place in Guardians of the Galaxy #8. The Guardians are changed in Guardians of the Galaxy #8 too. They are more at peace. They are not addicted to things like alcohol anymore. They do not want to kill everything they see. The whole multiple personality disorder does not seem present. I could be wrong about that though.

I am not a fan of the direction this comic book is taking. I am actually happy I will not be reading this series after Guardians of the Galaxy #8. I do like the toned down more humane Guardians of the Galaxy. They do certain murder quite a few of these aliens in Guardians of the Galaxy #8 though. Guardians of the Galaxy #8 cost me $3.99 to purchase at one of our local comic book stores.
