Hercules #4

The storyline in Hercules #4 continues to meander along and it is starting to annoy me. What is the point of this story anymore? Whatever villain continues to work under the radar and continues to kidnap characters. Hercules #4 is no different than the first three issues. In fact Hercules #4 is even more pointless since this has dragged on so long. Hercules #4 cost me $4.99. There are twenty pages of comic book content.

After the comic book content is a page devoted to the next issue, other Disney comic book advertisements, and a cover gallery. There will be spoilers in my review of the Hercules #4 comic book. The issues families can have with Hercules #4 are violence, false gods, lack of attire, enticement to lust, and more. The level of confusion within Hercules #4 is extremely high.

Hercules #4 starts us out with Hercules and his woman being in Olympus. There is a discussion about the characters being kidnapped. From there we find out there is a war down on Earth. Hercules is sent by Ares to stop it. Why would Ares want to stop it? Later we find out that Ares does not want it stopped. So Hercules must stop it himself without any assistance from the one that sent him.

There is a rather interesting and clever riddle in Hercules #4. All of these characters are mad because they either do not know the riddle or they do not know the answer. So another character is brought in and he provides the answer. I actually found that riddle the absolute best part about Hercules #4. I might even go as far to say that riddle is the best part of this entire series.

I am not big on the art within Hercules #4. I am not big on different characters getting brainwashed somehow into wanting to know the riddle and/or its answer. That is never quite explained in Hercules #4 to my satisfaction. The riddle is solved and everyone goes back to being happy. The battle is over in Hercules #4. Then Ares is kidnapped at the end of Hercules #4. The pattern continues.
