Hero #4
SCORE: 67
I am very thankful I found the Hero #4 comic book at the McKAY's
store when we took that trip to Nashville. I am a bit bummed I was not
able to find the first two in this series. I did check and I have the
rest of this limited edition series. I can at least finish this series
off. There will be spoilers in my review of the Hero #4 comic book. I
learned a bit more about Cody Pace in this comic book.
There are twenty-four pages of comic book content within Hero #4.
Advertisements can be found all throughout the Hero #4 comic book. I am
actually interested in some of the advertisements within the Hero #4
comic book. There is also a Bullpen Bulletins page within Hero #4.
The issues families can have with Hero #4 are violence, magic, false
gods, reincarnation and more. Gaelen winds up dying in Hero #4. He is
burned down to just a skeleton in this comic book. We lose one of the
heroes in Hero #4. That was a bit of a shocking moment in Hero #4. The
art in Hero #4 is done in an older style which makes perfect sense
knowing what era this comic book is from.
The world Cody Pace appears in a robot world in Hero #4. One of the
robots tricks the heroes and gets them into a status beam. The main bad
guy Malevelos promised to make this robot into a human. I am not sure
why this robot wants that since organics are hunted down in this world.
Why would you want to be turned into a human being where they are just
hunted down? I honestly miss the logic.
Things do look bad for the heroes at the end of Hero #4. Cody Pace
learns some spell was put on him so he will appear in another world
every single time he dies. The interesting thing is he appears in his
same armor and with his weapon. Hero #4 is touching on reincarnation
with its resurrection but there are some differences too. We learn about
one of the characters behind his world shifting. Cody is important to
them for some odd reason.
