Lilo & Stitch #1

I requested the Lilo & Stitch series be pulled for me at our local comic book shop. The second and third issues appeared but not the first. I then went online and with shipping had to pay close to ten dollars to get a copy of Lilo & Stitch #1. Once it arrived I bumped it into the top of my pile to get reviewed. I prefer to read comic books in the order they were released whenever possible. It was a really good call with Lilo & Stitch #1.

There will be spoilers in my review of the Lilo & Stitch #1 comic book. The credits can be found on the back of the front cover of the Lilo & Stitch #1 comic book. There are twenty-two pages of comic book content within Lilo & Stitch #1. Then we have a page devoted to the next issue. After that are some advertisement pages in Lilo & Stitch #1. Finally we get the cover gallery. The cover gallery in Lilo & Stitch #1 is three pages long. There are that many variant covers of this comic book.

The Cluster Sovereign are trying to get ahold of Experiment 626 in Lilo & Stitch #1. Stitch is on Earth with Lilo. They are playing a game of water balloon that goes badly. Dr. Jumba accidently threw a bomb which blew some things up. The adults were not exactly pleased about the property damage. There is also the problem of having to stop working to pay the bills to see what the problem was.

We get two pages of Stitch art in Lilo & Stitch #1 that explains some elements of the story. The robots arrive on Earth to kidnap Stitch. They get him, but he escapes. Stitch then tries to blend in with different people in different places in Lilo & Stitch #1. He ends up showing up at the Manhattan Toy Con. I am a bit confused how Stitch got from Hawaii to Manhattan. I guess that space ship flew pretty far away. There is some violent content within Lilo & Stitch #1.

The art is generally nice within Lilo & Stitch #1. This comic book has a feel for the franchise and the movie. I can see kids getting into Lilo & Stitch #1. Parents should be aware they will most likely need to read this comic book to their children. There are quite a few words within Lilo & Stitch #1. I am unclear how many more issues will be in this current franchise. I plan on getting each one to continue and finish the storyline.
