Looney Tunes #277
SCORE: 79
I am very thankful I had the $2.99 to purchase the Looney Tunes #277
comic book. There are two stories in this comic book. The first story
within Looney Tunes #277 is Tooth or Scare. The second story within
Looney Tunes #277 is Scare B & B. Each of these stories are eight pages
long. That means the complete comic book content within Looney Tunes
#277 is sixteen pages. I felt like either of these stories could have
been stretched into an entire complete comic book.
There will be spoilers in this review. There are some scare elements
within Looney Tunes #277. The first story has Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck
going on a dentist appointment with a Dracula character. The two of them
work together to get the vampire's teeth taken care of. There are some
humorous elements within this comic book. The first story has some great
moments like when Daffy finds a lucky penny.
The second story within Looney Tunes #277 is about Porky Pig looking for
a place to stay. Porky Pig finds this creepy castle with a mad scientist
and a giant hairy red monster. The mad scientist and red haired monster
want to eat Porky Pig. At one point Porky is shrunk down in size in
Looney Tunes #277. Thankfully Porky is able to leave. The red haired
monster comes with Porky at the end of Looney Tunes #277.
There are seven pages within Looney Tunes #277 that are devoted to Teen
Titans Go! To the Library! in Looney Tunes #277. I am not a fan of the
art style of that Teen Titans graphic novel. It does not do much for me.
Plus I had enough Teen Titans for awhile personally. Advertisements can
be found all throughout the Looney Tunes #277 comic book. The scares are
generally kept in a comical fashion in this comic book.
Garlic and lights are used multiple times to hurt the vampire in Looney
Tunes #277. This is part of the humor. It looks like the health
inspector goes after that hotel in the Porky Pig story in Looney Tunes
#277. This comic book is okay at best. I never was a big fan of horror
personally. I feel like the mad scientist was a big short sided in
Looney Tunes #277. I guess they had to rush the storyline along with
only eight pages.
