Looney Tunes #280
SCORE: 73
I can barely believe I have been reading Looney Tunes for so long. I
go month after month and keep checking them out. Some of them are better
than others. I have been reading them for over a year now. Looney Tunes
#280 is the latest one to come across my reading desk. Looney Tunes #280
contains two stories in it. The price of Looney Tunes #280 that I had to
pay was $2.99.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Looney Tunes #280 comic book.
The first story in Looney Tunes #280 is Sink or Swim. This story is
eight pages long. The second story in Looney Tunes #280 is called
Teacher's Pet Peeve. This story is also eight pages long. There are then
seven pages of a preview of Batman's Mystery Casebook in the Looney
Tunes #280 comic book.
There is plenty of Looney Tunes humor within Looney Tunes #280. That
also means some cartoon violence, and comic mischief. The first story is
a Looney Tunes take on the swimming portion of the Summer Olympics.
There are numerous different characters in this story in Looney Tunes
#280. All of these characters get a gold medal except for Daffy Duck.
Why not Daffy? They ran out of medals.
Looney Tunes #280 is the second Looney Tunes comic book in recent months
that focused on the Olympics and did not give Daffy Duck a medal. I
honestly find that pretty lame. The same concepts being re-used once a
year is one thing, but within a short span - that feels like lazy
writing to me. I know there are different people coming and going with
this comic book.
The second story is about Pete Puma pretending to be a teacher to eat
the child of Bugs Bunny. Can you guess what happens? Bugs Bunny dresses
up and pretends to be from the board of education. Poor Pete gets so
abused in Looney Tunes #280. He is blown up multiple times, whacked in
the face with a board and more. Eventually Bugs Bunny gives Pete an
award and one more explosive device.
