My Little Pony Maretime Mysteries #1
SCORE: 74
My local comic book shop pulled My Little Pony Maretime Mysteries #3
for me. I decided to purchase it only if the first two were still on the
shelf. Please note I did not request this series, but I have purchased
and read some of the other My Little Pony comic books. I decided to give
My Little Pony Maretime Mysteries #1 a shot. This comic book cost me
$3.99 and there are twenty-two pages of comic book content.
There will be spoilers in my review of the My Little Pony Maretime
Mysteries #1 comic book. After the twenty-two pages of comic book
content there is a page devoted to the next issue, then alternate cover
pages, some ads, and the IDW View from the Back page. I read that IDW
View from the Back page in the past in other IDW Publishing comic books.
The credits are found on the back of the front cover of this comic book.
Misty lies to her friends in My Little Pony Maretime Mysteries #1. They
all have plans and she claims to have a to do list to take care of. She
actually does not. She plays Checkers with her father and he asks if she
can check out a tea shop called Brewtanical Wonders. Misty agrees, and
realizes how little she knows of the town. All these directions from
other ponies do not help her.
Misty eventually finds a store with cool items. She buys a board game
based on the town Maretime Bay. Then she finds the store her dad wanted.
Misty takes care of what he dad wants, and takes the board game home.
Other ponies get home and decide it would be cool to play this board
game. They get with Misty to play it. The dice is rolled in My Little
Pony Maretime Mysteries #1.
Once the dice is rolled some spirit appears and curses the entire town.
My Little Pony Maretime Mysteries #1 has quite the interesting little
twist ending. The ponies will have to do something to fix the curse from
this Jumanji like board game in My Little Pony Maretime Mysteries #1. I
am actually getting into My Little Pony Maretime Mysteries #1. The art
is not my flavor, but the story telling is interesting.
