NHL 25

Recently I live streamed NHL 25 on our Twitch channel. I played some games of normal hockey and then the NHL Threes mode which is more arcade like. We will be releasing two videos of the best games on our video channels as the time and financial resources present themselves. I will openly admit that I am not impressed with NHL 25. Some of the problems I had with NHL 25 are my own fault. I will get into that in just a little bit.

There is some violent content within NHL 25. We can fight with other players or the computer in NHL 25. The fights honestly feel pointless to me. NHL 25 likes to use AI to change the difficulty to make things harder on you if you are doing well. I dropped that slider to zero because I do not want that kind of an experience. In fact I lost or was losing in multiple games in NHL 25 thanks to the sliders.

I noticed a major flaw with NHL 25. I could not find a reset the sliders to default after accidently messing them up. Somehow while I was live streaming I made it where my players had perfect puck control but could never get the puck. They would skate past it again and again and never grab it. After the live stream I went around and read every single option and found one in passing that I messed up. The lesson here is to read what each option does before playing with it. Also you might want to save the presets.

NHL 25 looks nice but also pretty small. The zoomed in celebrations are nice, and so are the fan views. Due to copyrights I turned off any of the offensive music by dropping the music to zero. I had to do the menu music and the arena music. The announcers can be fun at times in NHL 25. There are multiple controls and multiple difficulties. I wish changing the difficulties also impacted the sliders. Those two are completely separate.

There are plenty of different teams to play in NHL 25. This game is really obsessing and focusing on the women's league. I am going to be totally blunt here. I do not care about women's sports. I do not and will not watch women sports. I do not and will not play women sports in video games either. If companies want to spend their financial resources on this - they can. They are just wasting their time in my opinion. I know a lot of other sports enthusiasts that feel the same way.
