Negaduck #8

If you have been reading my reviews of the Negaduck comic book series you might have noticed something odd. Where are the reviews for issue #6, and issue #7? Let me tell you a little story. I noticed Negaduck #8 at our local comic book store recently. For some reason even though this series was in my pull, when the owner was gone the normal employees missed six, seven, and even eight. I found Negaduck #8 on the shelves.

I found myself in a bit of a conundrum. I could wait to read and review Negaduck #8 until the money comes in to purchase the other two. I could read it, and then decide. I could read it and try to scrape together the money to purchase the missing two. I also know this is the big time of the year for video game releases and there are other needs. If we can find a way to get the money I will purchase and review the missing two. No promises and no timelines.

Negaduck #8 cost me $3.99. There are twenty-two pages of comic book content within Negaduck #8. After the comic book content are some advertisements, and then the cover gallery. Negaduck #8 is the last one in this series. There is no reference to the next issue. Negaduck #8 also lets us know that it is the end for now. Can we please get back to Darkwing Duck now?

There will be spoilers in this review of the Negaduck #8 comic book. The bad guys made a robot version of Negaduck and named it Mega-Nega. They leave Negaduck to die. Negaduck escapes and hatches a plan to get back at this organization that messed him over. He gets his revenge, and takes over their entire operation. The robot was not actually smart enough to take control. Someone was controlling the robot.

There is a bit of cartoon violence within Negaduck #8. There is also some humor in Negaduck #8. The credits can be found on the back of the front cover of the Negaduck #8 comic book. I am glad this franchise completely ended. I was bored of it in the past. Which is why I almost did not want to get the missing issues. Maybe I can find it at another local comic book store if I get there quickly.
