Ride 5
SCORE: 69
My heart was pounding out of my chest in excitement to play Ride 5. I
even live streamed this video game. I had been told by my father that
this series is known for being difficult. Well some games were and some
were not so bad. I knew to lower the difficulty as low as it would go. I
also knew to use any and all assists I could. Could you guess what
happened when I played Ride 5?
If you guessed I lost race after racer then you would be completely
right. I could not figure out how to make it to first place in one race.
All I did was crash and burn again and again. I would watch the computer
racers leave me all alone. In some races I would get lapped by the
supposedly lowest difficulty in this game. How come Ride 5 is so
frustrating, hard, annoying, and irritating? I did not have fun playing
Ride 5.
After constantly failing I decided the best I could do with Ride 5 was
show off some of the tracks. Ride 5 looks nice, and it sounds like
motorcycles racing. There are over two hundred bikes and thirty-five
race tracks in Ride 5. Gamers can race all over the world in Ride 5. We
never see any of the cultures of those countries in Ride 5, but it is
still kind of cool to see different areas of the world.
Ride 5 is a large installation on the system it is installed on. I
un-installed it right after living streaming it. I did not want to keep
it on there. I knew I would never go back and play Ride 5 ever again.
Did you know Family Friendly Gaming has created videos or live streams
for every single Ride video game? Most of them were not pleasant
experiences. Both my dad and I have played Ride games. Neither of us
have a very positive impression of this franchise.
The standard modes are available in Ride 5. For example we can go into
career mode. There is local multiplayer and online multiplayer in Ride
5. There are also difficult challenges for gamers to achieve in Ride 5.
I wanted to enjoy Ride 5 so badly. This racing video game shattered my
expectations and left me extremely unhappy. Why is it so hard for some
of these companies to come up with games that are approachable by all
skillsets?
