Scarlett #4
SCORE: 58
Caveman has big brain. Caveman starting to figure out what Image
Comics is up to with their Energon Universe. I was perplexed by some
things related to G.I. Joe and these different character based comic
books. Initially I thought Image Comics continued the G.I. Joe A Real
American Hero series from IDW Publishing, and it was a part of the
Energon Universe. Now I realize the new G.I. Joe series is separate from
the one in the three hundreds.
This is starting to make more sense in terms of how these characters are
being redefined. Scarlett is a great example. I floundered around
totally confused why Image Comics would redefine her in such a drastic,
fanatic, and zealot way. If the mainline G. I. Joe is different from the
Energon Universe one then it makes more sense. I still absolutely
despise the redefinitions.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Scarlett #4 comic book. The
issues families will have with Scarlett #4 are violence, blood, bad
language, sexual deviancy, and more. The credits are on the back of the
front cover of the Scarlett #4 comic book. There are twenty pages of
comic book content within Scarlett #4. There are two pages devoted to
total and complete fanboys. There is also a five page preview of Ultra
Mega that has been in other comic books as well.
I thought this series was pretty much done with after the last issue.
Scarlett #4 stretches things out in a rather lame way. The bad guys are
amassing on floor forty-four. Storm Shadow goes there and wants to women
to follow him but via a different path. Why? They could and should go
together in my book. It is a convenient plot mechanism in Scarlett #4
unfortunately.
Scarlet convinces Jinx that they need to go to a different floor based
on superstitions. They go and find the weapon. Cobra is there to get the
weapon as well. Storm Shadow is contacted and he winds up getting the
weapon. It is a sword. Scarlett thinks that maybe letting Storm Shadow
get this sword is a really bad idea. Next up for Scarlett #4 will be
Cobra Commander.
