Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #124
SCORE: 76
I decided to give Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? a shot with issue #124.
I did not know much about this comic book. I knew that Scooby-Doo! Where
Are You? #124 cost $2.99 and held the eight and older only rating. I
hoped Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #124 would be interesting as well as
more family friendly than a great many comic books I have found since
coming back to the industry. There will be spoilers in this review.
There are two stories within Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #124. Each of
the stories within Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #124 are ten pages each.
That brings the comic book content to twenty pages. Advertisements are
placed all across Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #124. There is also a seven
page sneak peek at Young Alfred Pain in the Butler. Those pages did not
entice me to purchase that book.
There are some scares as there are two ghosts in Scooby-Doo! Where Are
You? #124. Technically there are people dressed up to look like ghosts.
Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #124 does not explain how the people floated
or glowed in Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #124. Both stories in
Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #124 revolve around flying. The ghost
appearing on an airplane while in flight was interesting.
Since each story is only given ten pages you can expect the story
happens at a really fast pace in Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #124. I
actually felt like the pace was too fast in Scooby-Doo! Where Are You?
#124. I wanted a bit more intrigue. The ghosts make one appearance and
then they are caught. That happens for both stories in Scooby-Doo! Where
Are You? #124. Maybe a longer more fleshed out story would have been
better.
There is some peril in Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #124. Certain
characters also run into one another in Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #124
too. Other than that Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #124 is pretty tame.
Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #124 has a few attempts at humor. Again the
pace was so fast that the humor could be easily missed by a great many
readers. I am on the fence concerning this comic book series.
