Silo Season 1

Another television show I decided to check out and try on Apple TV+ during our free months was Silo Season 1. I will openly admit that the super majority of Silo Season 1 was a major disappointment. There are ten episodes within Silo Season 1. The time length for the episodes of Silo Season 1 range from forty-three minutes to one hour and two minutes. Episodes start longer at the beginning of the short season and shrink later on.

There will be spoilers in my review of the Silo Season 1 television show. I thought Silo Season 1 would be some science fiction television show. Silo Season 1 is more of a nuclear wasteland with humans surviving underground. The humans are living in these massive silos that are just underground. They can see the outside and it is not too good looking. The one rule is you cannot say you want to go outside.

The issues families will have with Silo Season 1 are violence, blood, bad language, sex outside of marriage, sexual deviancy, and more. There are a group of people that watch the citizens with hidden cameras within their homes and in the hallways in Silo Season 1. This group is trying to stop all curiosity about the outside. This group also wants to stop all knowledge of the past. History is seen as a bad thing in Silo Season 1.

The ending of Silo Season 1 is actually the most interesting part. After trudging through multiple characters learning about the past and seeing a video where the outside looks fine, we finally learn tape is the key component. Tape is used to bind the suits when characters go outside to clean. We learn in the end of Silo Season 1 that the environment outside is toxic, and bad tape makes you die before reaching the top of the hill.

Why is the hill so important in Silo Season 1? The reason is you can see the ruins of a city and all these other silos. There are plenty of silos around in Silo Season 1. The hidden organization decides who can and cannot have kids. The doctor will claim to remove the birth control, but actually does not. This gives some couples false hope. People are not allowed to magnify to a certain point in Silo Season 1. I guess that is to stop technology.
