Sonic The Hedgehog #71

Sonic The Hedgehog #71 cost me $3.99 to purchase. There are twenty pages of comic book content within Sonic The Hedgehog #71. Then we get one of the covers to next month, two pages of Sonic Letter Squad, alternate covers for this issue, IDW View from the Back page, and one advertisement. The credits can be found on the back of the front cover of this particular comic book.

Sonic The Hedgehog #71 also has a Story so Far page, and a page devoted to many of the characters that are found within. There will be spoilers in my review of the Sonic The Hedgehog #71 comic book. I will be open, honest and transparent here. I will be so happy when this storyline winds up ending. I keep waiting for the truth to come to light. We are getting closer to that in Sonic The Hedgehog #71.

Belle is discovered by Amy and Tails in Sonic The Hedgehog #71. Belle is freed and they find out who is behind all of this evil scheming. Clutch the Opossum also learns that Sonic the Hedgehog is the Phantom Racer in Sonic The Hedgehog #71. There was also a discovery that more than one character is the Phantom Racer. The bad guys are trying to frame the Phantom Racer with even worse deeds.

There is one real positive in Sonic The Hedgehog #71. Surge and Kit are liking being heroes in Sonic The Hedgehog #71. In fact these two characters decide that they want to be heroes going forward. They also decide they will need to earn it and stop faking it. I see this is a really good step for these two. There are less and less bad characters which will only help Sonic in the end.

I do worry that Sonic will face some retribution for his bad deeds in Sonic The Hedgehog #71. The real ones he did as the Phantom Racer, and the ones that the fake one did in his name. His mask being taken off could be a real problem going forward if anyone lets it slip they know who this mysterious racer actually is. I will keep reading. I just hope there are not many more issues with this storyline. I am ready for something different.
