Spider-Gwen the Ghost Spider #2
SCORE: 69
I just finished reading the Spider-Gwen the Ghost Spider #2 comic
book. I notice something odd and interesting about the comic book
industry. Some comic books are one dollar more for the same amount of
comic book content. Spider-Gwen the Ghost Spider #2 is $3.99 and there
are twenty pages of comic book content. There are Spider-Man comics with
the same amount of comic book content pages that are a dollar more. Why?
There will be spoilers in my review of the Spider-Gwen the Ghost Spider
#2 comic book. The issues families can have with Spider-Gwen the Ghost
Spider #2 are violence, blood, evolution, and more. There is a page
within Spider-Gwen the Ghost Spider #2 called Marvel Remembers. That
Marvel Remembers page is about Jeffrey Veregge. That art on that page in
Spider-Gwen the Ghost Spider #2 is horrible. The rest of the art is
okay.
Many of the themes and concepts in Spider-Gwen the Ghost Spider #2 are
completely lost. In the first comic book Spider-Gwen is supposed to
avoid the other Spider related characters in this universe. She ignored
that and got stabbed by Kraven. What we learn later in Spider-Gwen the
Ghost Spider #2 is that it is not Kraven. In fact it is some Chameleon
character that is trying to kill Spider-Gwen.
Spider-Gwen the Ghost Spider #2 starts out with three Spider characters
trying to find out what Spider-Gwen is doing there. She lies to them,
and they are not happy about it. What happened to keeping a low profile
and having no contact with the other Spider characters? Spider-Gwen the
Ghost Spider #2 forgets the big one rule from the first issue. I hate it
when writers ignore their own rules.
Spider-Gwen goes out in costume in Spider-Gwen the Ghost Spider #2
again. It looks like Spider-Man is needing her help. Spider-Gwen tests
this Spider-Man to find out that he is not the real one. That leads to
fight where Spider-Gwen finds out who is actually behind these attacks
on her. Why is Chameleon after her? Maybe the next issue will explain
that. I am still on the fence concerning this series.
