Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse
SCORE: 73
We watched Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse one of our movie nights
recently. There are some good things in this movie, and there are some
bad things. I plan on sharing all of my thoughts related to Spider-Man
Across the Spider-Verse. We were able to purchase a copy of the Blu-ray
+ DVD + Digital on Black Friday 2023. There will be spoilers in this
review of Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse.
The coolest thing about Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse is seeing all
of these different versions of Spider-Man. I absolutely loved that. The
action is intense and the story telling is pretty good. Plus Spider-Man
Across the Spider-Verse ends with a bit of a cliffhanger and there will
be a sequel. There are competing perspectives within Spider-Man Across
the Spider-Verse.
The bad in Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse for me is the art. I hate
the art in this movie. I did not like it in the first one and Spider-Man
Across the Spider-Verse is even worse. I do not know what anyone was
thinking with the art in Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse. It is
gross, ugly, disgusting, and plain messed up. Spider-Man Across the
Spider-Verse contains some blood, bad language, multi-verse religious
belief, and violence as well.
Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse tells viewers that Miles Morales is
better than all these other Spider-Man versions. I find that extremely
hard to swallow. I am not sure why that kind of a thing was done.
Spider-Man 2099 is supposedly the bad guy in Spider-Man Across the
Spider-Verse. To be honest he has a good point. If Miles saves the
captain the entire universe could unravel. Miles is being very selfish.
It takes 140 minutes to watch Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse from
start to finish. I like how this movie was not cut short to hit the two
hour mark. A lot of what happens in Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse
is needed. There are plenty moments of humor within Spider-Man Across
the Spider-Verse too. Noah and I were laughing hysterically when we
watched Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse.
At the end of the day I enjoyed watching Spider-Man Across the
Spider-Verse. I loved the bonus features showing all of the Easter Eggs
in the movie. I enjoyed the action and all of the cool versions of
Spider-Man. Spider-Gwen is a good character in Spider-Man Across the
Spider-Verse. I expect Miles will use his electricity powers to escape
in the next movie. Why does he have these new powers?
