Star Trek #16
SCORE: 68
I am very thankful I had the $4.99 to purchase a copy of the Star
Trek #16 comic book. This is the fourth part of the Glass and Bone
storyline. There are some major shocks that come up in Star Trek #16.
There are twenty-two pages of comic book content within Star Trek #16.
The credits and recap is on the back of the front cover of the Star Trek
#16 comic book. There will spoilers in this review.
Star Trek #16 also contains a page devoted to the next issue. The
storyline will continue in the next issue. The IDW View from the Back
Page is very interesting. I wish IDW Publishing was a bit better about
spreading information about comic books that are coming out soon. Both
Marvel and DC Comics send out a little free catalogue on a monthly
basis. I hope IDW Publishing catches up there soon.
The issues families can have with Star Trek #16 are blood, and bad
language. Captain Sisko is saved by the emergency holograms. Multiple
doctors appear to save as many crew members as they can. Captain Sisko
goes back in command even though he really needs to rest. Data is
plugged into the consoles on the bridge to control a lot of the ship
since they are on such a skeleton crew.
The Cardassian are at the border thanks to the Romulans most likely.
Captain Sisko talks First Speaker Damar down from an invasion in Star
Trek #16. Dr. Crusher and Scotty make a very interesting discovery in
Star Trek #16. The planet the Tzenkethi are on is breaking apart. In
fact the planet will completely separate in a few days. Captain Sisko
could keep the fleet on the planet until it separates and in essence let
the problem take care of itself. You know he won't do that though.
There are two interesting pages in Star Trek #16 that connect to the
main storyline. The first page is a personal log of Lily Sato. She has a
little part to play in Star Trek #16. It sounds like she may have a
bigger part to play coming up. We will see. The second page is a
Starfleet Science page. It connects to Dr. Crusher and Scotty. The
covers checklist shows some interesting covers of the Star Trek #16
comic book.
