Star Trek #20
SCORE: 60
Star Trek #20 is the second part of the Pleroma storyline. The cost
of this comic book was $4.99 brand new. There are twenty-two pages of
comic book content within Star Trek #20. There is one page devoted to
the next issue. The recap and credits page is on the back side of the
front cover. There are pages in Star Trek #20 devoted to Ships Log,
Personnel Files, IDW From the Back Page, covers checklist, Starfleet
communications, and a page that looks like a personal written letter.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Star Trek #20 comic book. The
issues families can have with Star Trek #20 are false gods, sexual
deviancy, rebellion against God, bad language and more. My interest in
this comic book series is slipping down that slippery slope it keeps
going down. A lot of things happen within Star Trek #20 in a very short
time. Or at least a few pages.
Star Trek #20 starts out with the crew on the Utopia Planitia Shipyards.
They are there for a retrofit of their ship to make it through this
barrier into Pleroma. The head of this shipyard is not happy to see
them. In fact he does not have the time or resources to assist them. So
they come up with a compromise. They need a bay to work and will do all
of the work themselves in Star Trek #20.
Scotty and others come up with ideas on how to break through that
barrier. Can you guess what happens next? They take the ship through
this barrier and all kinds of odd and strange things happen. They arrive
at their destination to meet Kore Soong. This is a being that claims to
have been a human at one point in the past. They cannot allow this
technology to continue to exist so they are going to unmake them and the
ship.
Star Trek #20 ends with a bit of a twist. I am getting sick and tired of
all of this false god talk in Star Trek #20. I also did some research
and found that Star Trek #20 is not actually cannon. So there is no
point in even reading it. I am debating when I want to stop reading this
comic book series. It might be sooner rather than later. The price is
too high for the page count, and I am sick of what they are constantly
pushing.
