Star Trek #31

Star Trek #31 is another comic book from one of our trips to Nashville, TN and the McKay's store. This comic book was released in October of 1986. The price of this comic book back in the day was seventy-five cents. It cost me $1.75 so it went up in value. Star Trek #31 is not in really good shape though. In fact the color of the paper is a really good example of this.

There will be spoilers in my review of the Star Trek #31 comic book. Advertisements can be found all throughout the Star Trek #31 comic book. There are twenty-two pages of comic book content within Star Trek #31. There are also three letter pages within Star Trek #31. The issues families can have with Star Trek #31 are lack of attire, enticement to lust, violence, and more.

Admiral Kirk meets an ambassador in Star Trek #31. They are going to Maggie's World. This planet is half run by the Klingons and half run by the Federation. The goal is to prove which can do a better job of running things for the locals. The Klingons are strip mining and causing harm to the environment. The Federation is taking care of the environment but much slower at getting the precious minerals out of the planet.

Star Trek #31 has a very ecological viewpoint from what I would assert is from the political left. The Hispanic gentleman that is over this planet must deal with things like fights and threats. A woman threatens to kill him if he leaves. He found this planet about the same time as the Klingons. Kirk and the diplomat both look into one another because they expect the other one will be a problem.

Things do not look good for the Federation in Star Trek #31. I have no idea if things turn around in upcoming issues or not. I am also not sure if I actually have any of the next issues either. I have some more older Star Trek comic books but not with me while writing this review. I am also trying to figure out numbering of reviews with the current Star Trek series running.
