Star Trek Day of Blood #1

If you have been following the other Star Trek reviews then you know what is going on with Star Trek Day of Blood #1. Initially I was not going to get all of the different comics in this storyline. Then I read one of them since I keep reading the mainline Star Trek and decided to get the ones I was missing. Star Trek Day of Blood #1 is one of those that I was missing. I did read the FCBD Star Trek which set things up. There will be spoilers in this review.

The issues families can have with Star Trek Day of Blood #1 are violence, blood, false gods, bad language, and more. There are thirty pages of comic book content within Star Trek Day of Blood #1. The next issue in the storyline is Star trek Defiant #6. I believe I have a copy of that in my pile. There is also a checklist page within Star Trek Day of Blood #1 and some advertisements.

I obviously missed a lot of things going on in Star Trek Defiant. This crew is not exactly a part of Star Fleet right now. They are doing their own thing with a Star Fleet ship. Spock and Lore are a part of that crew. The U.S.S. Theseus shows up to QO'NOS the capital of the Klingon Empire to save the crew of the Defiant. They wind up finding out about a Klingon civil war. In fact it goes beyond the Klingons and encompasses other races as well.

There is an interesting page in Star Trek Day of Blood #1 that covers the leaders of the U.S.S. Theseus and U.S.S. Defiant. The crews start to work together in Star Trek Day of Blood #1. There is some interesting discussions between them as many of them have bad blood for their counter parts on the other ship. A few of them like the Vulcans get along just fine in Star Trek Day of Blood #1.

The thought in Star Trek Day of Blood #1 is to try and chop the head of the snake off. That means kill the Klingon Emperor who is actually a clone of the old great hero Kahless. He goes by the same name if you wondered. The emperor's call to his people is to follow the path of blood. Be warriors again. Fight and conquer. It is a story that should span across multiple comic books.
