Star Wars Darth Maul Black, White & Red #1

I saw Star Wars Darth Maul Black, White & Red #1 at the local comic book store and decided to check it out. I did not know much about this comic book. I know very little about Darth Maul. About all I know about that character comes from the movie he was in. Maybe that is why I wanted to learn more. Star Wars Darth Maul Black, White & Red #1 contains thirty pages of comic book content with advertisements found throughout. The cost of Star Wars Darth Maul Black, White & Red #1 was $5.99.

There will be spoilers in my review of the Star Wars Darth Maul Black, White & Red #1 comic book. There is a complete setup and credits page in Star Wars Darth Maul Black, White & Red #1. Darth Sidious sends his student Darth Maul on a quest to try and bring back these beings that opposed them. They are on a transport that stopped communicating. The last communication was disturbing to say the least.

There are three characters in Star Wars Darth Maul Black, White & Red #1 that Darth Maul must deal with. The first is Heldi, the second is Vasik and the last one is not named. There is some violence in this comic book with dark art. There are plenty of scenes showing characters trying to break Darth Maul's mind. They worship chaos whereas Darth Maul is all about order in Star Wars Darth Maul Black, White & Red #1.

Star Wars Darth Maul Black, White & Red #1 is an one shot comic book. There will be another issue after this one. I think this series will have multiple issues. I just did some research and there will be four issues in this mini series. I am not sure if I will continue to read this mini series or not. If they are all one shots there may not be much of a point to reading them.

I am dismayed at the price of Star Wars Darth Maul Black, White & Red #1. I know plenty of other comic books that are one dollar cheaper for the same amount of comic book content. Does Marvel need to pay more for the Star Wars name? They are both owned by Disney so tha does not make much sense. Star Wars Darth Maul Black, White & Red #1 contains definite undertones but Darth Maul is very loyal.
