Superior Spider-Man #1

I was not very happy about that Superior Spider-Man Returns comic book I read a little bit back. It was interesting to get the concept of what happened before. There was little that happened and things were left in the air. Superior Spider-Man #1 is where we are finally on the path of the possibility of Superior Spider-Man returning. I hope it is an additional Spider-Man and not replacing Peter Parker. There will be spoilers in this review.

Superior Spider-Man #1 costs $5.99 so a bit steep for a comic book in my opinion. The main story within Superior Spider-Man #1 is twenty pages. Then we have a ten page flashback of Spider-Boy and Superior Spider-Man. The Marvel Stormbreakers in Superior Spider-Man #1 is all about these artists going to the Netherlands and drawing. I can barely contain my excitement for that event.

The issues families can have with Superior Spider-Man #1 are violence, blood, and more. Spider-Boy is prominent in Superior Spider-Man #1. Supernova makes an appearance and attacks Spider-Man. Doc Ock finds out that Peter Parker is Spider-Man in this comic book. Once Doc Ock has that knowledge all of his memories come rushing back. What will Doc Ock do with those memories?

I am honestly curious to see where this comic book series will go after this issue. I am honestly not big on Spider-Boy. I do like how the credits/setup page gives an explanation about the different characters in Superior Spider-Man #1. I did not know much about Spider-Boy before reading Superior Spider-Man #1. Marvel is really playing with alternate realities now.

I wish Supernova would listen to Spider-Man. Why would Doc Ock want to become Superior Spider-Man again knowing he would need to face her? That is a bit of a conundrum if you think about it. There are plenty of advertisements found all throughout the Superior Spider-Man #1 comic book. Superior Spider-Man #1 does have a bit of humor in it here and there.
