Superman #209
SCORE: 70
Superman #209 is one of the comic books I purchased from our trip to
McKay's in 2023. It finally came up in my pile to read. I did not know
much about this comic book. It was inside a case but the cover looked
kind of interesting to me. Superman is destroying some orb in his hands
with his heat vision. After reading this comic book I have a much better
idea what that orb actually is.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Superman #209 comic book. The
original cost of Superman #209 was $2.50. I was able to purchase it for
ninety cents. The condition of Superman #209 is actually decent. I think
this comic book is not very rare, or in demand. There are twenty-two
pages of comic book content within Superman #209. The art is decent in
Superman #209 as well.
Four different elementals attack Metropolis and demand that Superman
leaves the planet in Superman #209. Superman fights them off one at a
time. Eventually he winds up facing all four of them at once. The
elementals of fire, water, earth, and wind threaten to kill all life on
the planet. Superman counters their threat with one of his own. Once the
elementals kill all humans he will destroy the planet Earth and destroy
them. Then he will go to another planet and be a foreigner there.
We find out this woman is behind the elementals in Superman #209. She is
using some kind of magic to control them I believe. There is some
violent content within Superman #209. There is also some lack of attire
and enticement to lust within Superman #209. There is a page in Superman
#209 devoted to other DC Comics and a Classifieds section. None of that
interested me that much from 2004.
Wonder Woman shows up in Superman #209 as well. She is the sister of
this mage that attacked Superman. I wonder if Wonder Woman knew that her
sister attacked Superman? Superman is also talking to some man in
Superman #209 at a few different parts like he is telling this story. I
am not sure who this gentleman is exactly. I do not recall this era of
comic books. In fact I do not think I was reading them at this period of
time.
