Superman Man of Steel #22
SCORE: 65
I purchased Superman Man of Steel #22 for ninety cents at McKays
during one of our trips to Nashville, TN. This comic book originally
sold for $1.95. There are twenty-two pages of comic book content within
Superman Man of Steel #22. Advertisements are found throughout this
comic book. There is a poster inside Superman Man of Steel #22. The
condition of this comic book is okay.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Superman Man of Steel #22
comic book. The front cover of Superman Man of Steel #22 is really cool.
There is a hole in the front cover that is the shape of the Superman
insignia. Open it up to see a picture of Steel. The issues families can
have with Superman Man of Steel #22 are violence, blood, lack of attire,
enticement to lust, and more.
Superman Man of Steel #22 comes to us from June of 1993. This is right
after Doomsday killed Superman. Steel is one of the Supermen characters
that came up to fill the void. Superman Man of Steel #22 is all about
Henry Johnson. You may know him by the name John Henry Irons. I was a
bit confused by this as I read the Superman Man of Steel #22 comic book.
Maybe one of those names is a secret identity.
There are weapons in Superman Man of Steel #22 that go cleanly through a
person. There are numerous images of skulls left over from these weapons
attacking others. Lex Luthor is also in Superman Man of Steel #22. This
is the young version of him with hair, and a beard. I think it was the
clone or something like that. I have not read these comic books in
decades. Superman Man of Steel #22 is a nice trip down memory lane for
me.
Superman Man of Steel #22 has quite a bit of the action down in the hood
where two rival gangs are murdering one another. Steel is trying to stop
it. There is an interesting flashback where Superman saved this
character and told him to in essence do something with his life. The art
in Superman Man of Steel #22 is distinctive for that era. I remember
this kind of art back in the day.
