Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #9
SCORE: 78
I am very appreciative that I had the $3.99 to purchase a copy of the
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #9 comic book.
We get a page in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning
Adventures #8 devoted to the Channel Six Action Recap. After that there
is a character page in this comic book. Then we get twenty pages of
comic book content, next issue, alternate covers, Editor pages with fan
art, IDW View from the Back Page and some advertisements.
There will be spoilers in this review of the Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #9 comic book. Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #9 is the first of three parts. The
storyline is called The Sword of Eddiku. Shredder gets the sword in
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #9. Krang
powers up the sword. It can cut through time and space. The sword just
needs time to recharge after use.
There is a bit of cartoon violence within Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Saturday Morning Adventures #9. Master Splinter teaches the Turtles a
sword technique that allows them to break the sword of an opponent. That
is used on the sword near the end of this comic book. The sword is
broken into pieces in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning
Adventures #8 and a Turtle and Shredder are teleported somewhere else.
I am very happy to see a longer storyline being done in this comic book
series. The fourth wall is broken multiple times within Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #9. One of the Turtles even
asks if this will become cannon or not. Shredder and his minions steal
in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #8. The
Turtles work on stopping their theft once they find them.
The artwork looks decent in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday
Morning Adventures #9. There is plenty of dialogue that explains that is
happening in the storyline. We even get a time traveling lady that
appears at one point in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning
Adventures #8. She accidentally appears to them at the wrong point in
time. So she leaves without explaining herself. I expect we will see her
again.
