The Amazing Spider-Man #44
SCORE: 65
The good news about The Amazing Spider-Man #44 is the Gang War is
finally wrapping up. The bad news about The Amazing Spider-Man #44 is
Gang War will have some lasting repercussions. There are three pages of
comic book content within The Amazing Spider-Man #44 then two pages of
credits/recap, then the Gang War Territories, then eighteen pages of
comic book content. There are advertisements sparsely throughout this
comic book.
There will be spoilers of my review of the The Amazing Spider-Man #44
comic book. Some additional pages in The Amazing Spider-Man #44 are two
pages of the Spidermail, and a Gang War Checklist page. There is some
violence and blood within The Amazing Spider-Man #44. In the end of the
The Amazing Spider-Man #44 the heroes do end the fighting. The bad news
is Tombstone is now in complete control of all of the gangs in New York.
I am thankful I was able to get the Marvel Comics '97 Variant of the The
Amazing Spider-Man #44 comic book. Robbie finally wakes up in The
Amazing Spider-Man #44. No one is quite sure where Janice went. I
suspect she will come back at some point to haunt her father and his
poor decision making. Tombstone has his troops leave so the heroes only
have to fight Madame Masque. The heroes do so and take her down.
Things look bad for Spider-Man at one point in The Amazing Spider-Man
#44. He is getting blasted in the back. In fact the whole back of his
costume is gone from just above his waist line to just below his neck.
The back of the head piece of the costume is also gone showing off
Peter's hair in The Amazing Spider-Man #44. The law against super heroes
being able to practice in New York is also abolished in The Amazing
Spider-Man #44.
Tombstone has gotten extremely vicious in The Amazing Spider-Man #44.
Tombstone plans on beating Spider-Man to death with his own bare hands
in the future. I cannot see it going down like that personally. It also
shows a real lack of gratitude since Spider-Man helped Tombstone save
his daughter Janice. I suppose I will need to keep reading to see how
things go down in the future with Tombstone and Spider-Man.
