The Amazing Spider-Man #48

I just finished reading the The Amazing Spider-Man #48 comic book. The Janine and Ben story wrap up quite nicely in The Amazing Spider-Man #48. This comic book cost me $4.99. There are twenty-two pages of comic book content within The Amazing Spider-Man #48. Advertisements can be found all throughout the The Amazing Spider-Man #48 comic book. There is one page in this comic book devoted to fan mail.

There are two advertisements within The Amazing Spider-Man #48 that could offend families. There is one promotion sexual deviancy and rebellion against God. The other one promotes false gods. The other issues within The Amazing Spider-Man #48 are violence, blood, lack of attire, enticement to lust and more. The blood in The Amazing Spider-Man #48 is actually pretty light. Although this comic book will be going into a bloody arena real soon.

There will be spoilers in this review. Goblin Queen convinces Ben that she can get his memories back with this machine. The thing is this machine turns people into Goblins. There is some doubt that this machine would actually give Ben his memories back. Spider-Man and Betty are trying to stop this machine use from happening. In fact they are trying to get this machine to a safe location.

Ben submits himself to the machine while Janine fights Spider-Man. She loses and eventually listens to Betty about the machine. Spider-Man stops Ben from getting the full dose from the machine. Ben does get a little taste of the machine. Goblin Queen seems to claim in The Amazing Spider-Man #48 that she was not lying about what the machine could do for Ben. Again I am still suspicious.

The best part about The Amazing Spider-Man #48 is when Janine and Ben get away and decide to build new memories. They decide to stop chasing the past. Instead work on and toward the future. I love that lesson. Too many people focus on their pasts. Instead they should work on being better each and every single day forward. The Amazing Spider-Man #48 does not teach us to choose obedience to God over man, but that is something I certainly focus on.
