Train Sim World 5

There are some really cool things about Train Sim World 5 and some areas that definitely still need some work. I downloaded the massive Train Sim World 5 because it was free to us on Xbox Game Pass. It came with a lot of DLC. There is also a lot of content that can be purchased in this game. That ranges from trains to different locations the trains will run on. You know those track things.

The tutorials and guided tours are generally good in Train Sim World 5. I found out that you can mess some things up and still pass. I live streamed this video game for over an hour on our Twitch channel. I found I could leave the station, stop, and the open the doors to pick up the passengers. I was not going all the way back. Train Sim World 5 let me do that and pass that tutorial.

Guided tours are fun if you want to see different trains and places. The guided tour will highlight what needs to be done next in that particular train. If you just go out into a train and try to do a run then you may have issues in Train Sim World 5. Each train is different. I could not remember the starting sequences anywhere. I got myself stuck multiple times in Train Sim World 5.

What I believe Train Sim World 5 should do is highlight the button you need to interact with when you need to do that before something else. Like put the train in forward before going up on the throttle. I also stopped before stations multiple times, and had to reset multiple things to get moving again. Train Sim World 5 looks nice, but man can it be frustrating at times. Move the brakes to neutral. Where is that in this sea of buttons?

Players can exit the trains and walk around if they want to as well. I have never been in any of these trains in real life. I guess they are realistic looking. I have no frame of reference to compare them to. Train Sim World 5 includes verbal and written directions on what to do. There are also multiple HUD overlays that are very helpful and handy. If you like trains and finding buttons you may like Train Sim World 5.
