Trolls Band Together
SCORE: 81
I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was given the retail version of
Trolls Band Together on Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Code. Poppy learns quite
a bit about the past of Branch in Trolls Band Together. There will be
spoilers in this review. The animation is nice in Trolls Band Together.
There are a few weird moments where the animation goes old school and it
looks really strange.
Branch was in the boy band Brozone when he was a baby. The band broke up
for various reasons. These brothers went their separate ways. Velvet and
Veneer are using one of the brothers to give themselves singing talent
so they can be at the top of the charts. The brothers need to save Floyd
before the singing siblings take all of his essence. The issue is he is
in a diamond case and the brothers must reach perfect harmony to free
him.
Trying to reach perfect harmony is one of the main reasons the brothers
split in the first place. Each brother went on with his life and did not
really look back. The theme of family and working out your issues is
strong in Trolls Band Together. I like how this movie teaches siblings
to listen to one another. They treat each other in ways they do not like
quite often in this movie.
The shocking twist at the end of Trolls Band Together is we find out
that Branch was in a second boy band in his life. This is a nice little
clever moment that I was not expecting. Poppy finds out she has a sister
and re-unites with her in Trolls Band Together. The two are very similar
in a lot of ways.
Bridget and Grissle get married and go on their honeymoon. This is where
some of the content that could bother some families. I see it as they
are married and that is what married people do. It is subtle at times.
There is a bit of cartoon violence as characters are knocked around in
Trolls Band Together. It takes an hour and a half to watch Trolls Band
Together from start to finish.
There are some neat bonus features in Trolls Band Together too. If you
want to sing along with Trolls Band Together then there is an option to
play the sing along version. There are fourteen well known songs within
Trolls Band Together. I enjoyed this movie and generally it is pretty
family friendly. It is neat to see this franchise is continuing which
means it is getting the support it needs. We would be open to running
advertisements for this movie on our website, and in our live streams.
