War in Paradise #0

War in Paradise #0 came from the rooms of one of our boys when they cleaned things up. It has finally made it into my reading and reviewing pile. This is an interesting limited edition comic book. Some of War in Paradise #0 feels like a free comic book to me. However the cover of War in Paradise #0 clearly states this comic book cost me $3.50 back in the year of our Lord 2005.

There will be spoilers in my review of the War in Paradise #0 comic book. War in Paradise #0 shows us heaven before the fall. There are different angels praising God, and interacting with one another. The intro and credits can be found on the back of the front cover. After that we get ten pages of comic book content. It will be continued in War in Paradise #1. I do not think we have the comic book though.

After the comic book content there are five art pages providing information on some of the main angels in War in Paradise #0. Then we have one study page with Bible verses. After that are eleven more art pages that remind me of cards. I wonder if there was a card game for this franchise back in the day. I have seen all kinds of cross promotional items in my career with Family Friendly Gaming.

Once we are done with all the art pages in War in Paradise #0 we have a two page preview of the first issue. Then there are two pages with a script preview of issue #1. The inside of the back cover of War in Paradise #0 is an In Memoriam and Special Thanks. The back cover is an advertisement for the first issue. The art in War in Paradise #0 is good in some parts, and sloppy looking in others.

There is not much of a comic book within War in Paradise #0 to review. Again this feels like a FCBD kind of thing. But it clearly states it cost $3.50 which seems high for the amount of content. I am not one of those that really likes all kinds of art pages personally. There is some action, and lack of attire in War in Paradise #0. There is also some confusion without enough conversation in my opinion. Anyone who claims I give all Christian products a free pass and really high scores needs to read this review.
