X-Men '97 #2
SCORE: 69
After reading X-Men '97 #2 I am now halfway through this four issue
limited run series. Just like the last issue my Spidey senses were up
looking for controversial and highly divisive content I heard the recent
animated show had. There are twenty pages of comic book content within
X-Men '97 #2. Advertisements can be found all throughout this comic
book. The price of X-Men '97 #2 was $3.99.
There will be spoilers in my review of the X-Men '97 #2 comic book. The
main issue families will have with X-Men '97 #2 is violence. Some of the
advertisements contain blood, and promote religious belief into false
gods. The Marvel Stormbreaker page in X-Men '97 #2 is about C. F. Villa.
There is a page devoted to the next issue in X-Men '97 #2 as well. There
is a recap/credits page near the beginning of X-Men '97 #2.
Mister Sinister is unhappy that the X-Men are making headway with normal
humans. He does not want acceptance. So Mister Sinister sends out the
Sinister Seven to attack the X-Men so the world can be reminded how
dangerous mutants actually are. Scott is very pleased to find out that
Jean is pregnant with their child. Wolverine is not so happy though.
Logan goes off and Storm follows him to a bar.
Morph makes his appearance right at the end of X-Men '97 #2. Morph
pretended to be Sabretooth to confuse another one of the villains. Beast
came out of his lab to help Cyclops and Jean fight off Hazard in X-Men
'97 #2. We get quite a bit of action in X-Men '97 #2. We do not get a
lot of story progress. There are multiple threads running at the same
time. It will take at least one more issue to untangle most of this.
X-Men '97 #2 continues to feel like the old animated television show. I
almost forgot that Bishop, Gambit, Rogue, and Jubilee. Their plan gets
forced down in Central Park and they must fight Siena Blaze. I am a bit
confused about how the villains were sent out. In some cases one of them
is going after multiple and it seems like a really bad idea. In other
cases the villains have multiple going after just a few heroes. Plus how
did they know where to find them?
