Cavern of Dreams

I am really digging this day and age in terms of video games. It is neat to see different companies making brand new video games that are done in the retro style. Cavern of Dreams is a great example of this. If I did not know better I would think Cavern of Dreams is a video game on the Nintendo 64. Cavern of Dreams has that look, sounds and feel. We play a little dragon character named Fynn in Cavern of Dreams.

What does Fynn need to do in Cavern of Dreams? Fynn must find the different eggs of his siblings. We go to different areas and solve puzzles. It can take five to six hours to beat Cavern of Dreams. If you want to unlock everything and find everything then it can take up to eight hours. Since I purchased Cavern of Dreams from Super Rare Games it was expensive. I wish the prices were better at Super Rare Games.

We also collect mushrooms in Cavern of Dreams. The mushrooms can be used to feed our siblings once their eggs hatch. Want a pro tip on hatching the eggs in Cavern of Dreams? Use that tail swipe after earning the first egg. As we collect enough eggs in Cavern of Dreams we then can earn additional and new skills. Those new and additional skills in Cavern of Dreams will help us progress further in the game.

My first reactions to Cavern of Dreams were negative. I was like ugh at first. Then I got into Cavern of Dreams a little bit. The more I played Cavern of Dreams the more I got into it. I enjoyed the little quests and secrets within Cavern of Dreams. I learned to use apples to grow small trees I could climb. This helped me reach higher platforms in Cavern of Dreams. I learned to investigate areas to learn about them.

I realized at one point that I did not mind the N64 style of a video game. Cavern of Dreams grew on me like the fungus we collect. I hope to see more games like Cavern of Dreams in the near future. I enjoyed a physical copy of Cavern of Dreams on the Nintendo Switch. There are also downloadable versions of this newly made retro video game. Stickers and cards also came with my copy of Cavern of Dreams.
