Despicable Me 4

I have enjoyed the Despicable Me franchise for some time now. I am very happy that I had the money to purchase a copy of the Despicable Me 4 movie on DVD. I was even able to get the Collector's Edition that contains over sixty minutes of bonus content. It takes one hour and thirty-five minutes to watch Despicable Me 4 from start to finish. There will be spoilers in my review of the Despicable Me 4 movie.

The issues families can have with Despicable Me 4 are violence, crude humor, lack of attire and more. There are things like one of the minions pulls down his pants and shows off his behind on a bus that drives by. Other characters are hit or slapped in Despicable Me 4. The baby is not nice to his dad in Despicable Me 4. I noticed that is a common theme that comes from Holly Hate. Is that part of the war on men?

We learn about a rivalry Gru had when he went to evil school. He helped capture Maxime Le Mal and he was put in a maximum security prison. Maxime escapes and uses his power of cockroaches to find Gru and his family. By the way Maxime also turned himself into a half cockroach man in this movie. He has a gun that can mutate people. Gru and his family winds up going into witness protection and put in a safe house.

There is plenty of humor within Despicable Me 4. One of the Minions gets stuck inside a vending machine until one of the shorts in the bonus features. Other Minions get turned into super heroes by the AVL. One can stretch, another has a laser eye, another can fly, one is turned into a rock like ball, and another has super strength. They try to help people and fail badly in Despicable Me 4.

Despicable Me 4 has an interesting dialogue about being honest and truthful. The family is given new names to use. One of the daughters does not want to lie about what her name is. I find this to be a great discussion about being honest and truthful versus lying. Why did the kids names need to change? Why not stay hidden and have people give them supplies. Shouldn't you know something about the job you are doing? The mom and being a hair dresser for a few minutes is hilarious.
