Fantastic Four #721
SCORE: 72
I am going with the legacy numbering system for the Fantastic Four.
It took a bit of research to determine Fantastic Four #28 is actually
Fantastic Four #721. The cost of this comic book was $3.99. There are
twenty pages of comic book content within Fantastic Four #721. I got
this comic book because it contains the Disney Variant cover. The
interesting thing about this cover is it asks What if Mickey & Friends
Became The Fantastic Four.
The cool thing about the Disney variant cover to Fantastic Four #721 is
there actually is a What If comic book that addresses the same issue. I
found that really neat. It can also be confusing when buying comic
books. I was concerned there were duplicates in my comic book pull until
I looked at the back of both comic books. This one clearly states on the
back that it is Fantastic Four #28.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Fantastic Four #721 comic
book. The first page within Fantastic Four #721 is an intro and credits
page. That helped me understand what is going on in this comic book.
Advertisements can be found throughout the Fantastic Four #721 comic
book. Reed and Sue are trying to find a solution to the Doctor Doom
problem in Fantastic Four #721. Doctor Doom is the Sorcerer Supreme and
alone in his country with a magic barrier.
Sue remembers Dane Whitman has a physics degree and is also quite versed
in magic. Plus he has a sword that can cut through force fields like
hers. So they go off to see him. He melted his sword down but lets them
know of another sword hidden in time. They go off on a quest into World
War I where they possess bodies of men from the past to find the sword.
They find the sword in Fantastic Four #721.
Once the sword is found the power couple realize they were duped. Doom
was in control the entire time. Doom destroys the sword and lets them
know he has conquered the Earth in Fantastic Four #721. The Fantastic
Four is able to escape thanks to some magic. They get back to their time
to see Doom has taken over the planet. They have failed, and next is One
World Under Doom.
