Hunter x Hunter Vol 1
SCORE: 70
There was a point in time in the past where I was looking around for
another manga to read. As I had money to spend on manga and figured I
would get to it eventually. I actually have the first four volumes of
Hunter x Hunter. I finally have gotten some time to read Hunter x Hunter
Vol 1. Thus far I am still on the fence concerning this manga series. I
also know I am getting caught up on Shield Hero so I will need to pivot
to something in the future.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Hunter x Hunter Vol 1 manga
book. Gon is a country boy in this fantasy world where he is raised by
his aunt. His father is a famous hunter and Gon wants to follow in his
footsteps. So Gon leaves home in Hunter x Hunter Vol 1 to take the
hunters examination test. Very few people even make it to the test. Let
alone pass it. Numerous characters come back every year to take the test
again and again.
Hunter x Hunter Vol 1 contains chapters one through eight. The cost of
Hunter x Hunter Vol 1 was $9.99. I feel like this manga book is a bit
shorter and lighter in terms of content than some of the other ones I
read. Hunters must be able to discern true intent in this fantasy world.
For example something might look like a human but actually be a monster
in disguise. Can you tell the difference.
The issues families can have with Hunter x Hunter Vol 1 are violence,
bad language, false gods, and more. There are numerous characters that
are killed by monsters in Hunter x Hunter Vol 1. I suppose it is magical
beasts in Hunter x Hunter Vol 1. To me they are monsters. There are some
crazy odd animals in Hunter x Hunter Vol 1. I tip my hat to the creator
for that level of creativity.
I am honestly not a big fan of the art in Hunter x Hunter Vol 1. To me
it is not as good as many of the other manga books I have read. Hunter x
Hunter Vol 1 feels like Dragon Ball art to me. I am talking about the
original and first Dragon Ball as well. The art in Hunter x Hunter Vol 1
is not so bad that I want to stop reading it. I feel like the Hunter x
Hunter franchise would make a really good role playing video game.
