Luck
SCORE: 88
Thus far the content I have found on Apple TV+ has been pretty
underwhelming. That is until I watched the movie Luck. This is a cute
and very family friendly coming together film It took me one hundred and
five minutes to watch Luck from start to finish. This animated movie has
a lot of heart in it. Sam Greenfield is aging out of the orphanage
system. She has a young friend there named Hazel.
Please be aware there will be spoilers in my review of the Luck movie.
Sam is a bad luck magnet in Luck. She has all kinds of horrible things
that happen to her in Luck in the beginning. If something can go wrong
for Sam it will. There are some really funny moments with all of the
things that go wrong for this young lady. I loved the scene where she
was at work and everything was going wrong.
Sam runs across a black cat and finds a lucky penny after feeding him
part of her sandwich. Sam realizes the next day that this penny has
given her really good luck. Sam has a wonderful day until she puts the
penny down and it winds up getting flushed down the toilet. Sam finds
this black cat again and follow him to the land of luck. There are
leprechauns that can create good luck. The poor cat Bob is in trouble
for losing his lucky penny.
The duo make a deal and work together to get Sam another lucky penny.
The interesting thing about Luck is Sam does not want the penny for
herself though. Sam wants the lucky penny for Hazel so she can be
adopted by a family. We also learn about the land of bad luck in Luck.
It is on the bottom of the good luck area in Luck. Sam does wind up
visiting both areas in this movie.
There is a dragon over the good luck area. Things get messed up in Luck.
Bad luck winds up infesting the good luck area. The creatures in the bad
luck area give some good luck they have stashed to save both areas. Luck
teaches that even bad luck can help good things happen. Bad luck on the
unicorn helped the dragon fall in love. The way the two areas work
together in Luck is fantastic. The cat winds up coming to the human
world and living with Sam. This movie really needs a DVD and Blu-ray
release.
