MotoGP 25

Part of my review process is to research a game and the past interactions we have had with its franchise. MotoGP 25 caught my eye for a couple of reasons. The last game in this franchise we reviewed was MotoGP 22. There was a MotoGP 23, and MotoGP 24. Thing is there was no physical copy versions of those games released in the United States of America. I found Japanese physical copy versions, but not US. So we passed on them.

I had some fun and some struggles when I live streamed MotoGP 25 on our YouTube channel. First and foremost I put it into Arcade mode, and eventually dropped the difficulty down to the lowest it would go. One of two things happened when I played MotoGP 25. I got out into first place, and stayed there. I wound up winning those races in MotoGP 25. There were some hairy moments but I pulled it out.

The second kind of a race I had in MotoGP 25 was to crash a few times, get into last place and stay there. I could never recover from it. Sometimes the computer characters crashed me and were allowed to move on. I was also penalized for cutting corners trying to play catch up. At times cutting those corners caused me to crash. So a penalty and a reset. Cutting that corner did not help did it.

At first I was annoyed with all of the practices and qualifying in MotoGP 25. I then discovered where I could turn that off in a menu screen. I personally prefer to just race. I do not want to practice, and get all of those qualifying rounds done. It makes the tracks really boring if you see too much of them.

I am impressed by the controls in MotoGP 25. I could really lean into those turns and stay upright more often in MotoGP 25 than a lot of motorcycle games I have played in the past. There are plenty of racers to play with. There could be more race tracks in my opinion. I would also love some easier race tracks at some point. I had to brake like crazy to avoid crashing into walls in MotoGP 25.
