Nexus the Liberator #1

Noah purchased a grab bag of comic books at our local Ollies and Nexus the Liberator #1 was one of the comic books in there. I decided to read and review this comic book. I knew nothing about this franchise. I could have died ignorant to this franchise and never missed a thing. Nexus the Liberator #1 comes to us from August 1992. The original cover price for Nexus the Liberator #1 was $2.50.

Nexus the Liberator #1 is part one of four. I do not have the other three parts. There will be spoilers in my review of the Nexus the Liberator #1 comic book. the issues families can have with Nexus the Liberator #1 are violence, blood, lack of attire, enticement to lust, false gods, and more. There is a quote in Nexus the Liberator #1 that references the non-cannon Gospel of Thomas. There is also a credits page in Nexus the Liberator #1.

The super hero in Nexus the Liberator #1 is going after this church. The head of the church consider themselves to be gods in Nexus the Liberator #1. The super hero is attacking the head of the church. A lot of people died since there was no enough food. The churches solution in Nexus the Liberator #1 is to make them died from being sleep deprived. Not a very nice church in Nexus the Liberator #1.

There are some aliens that are helping Nexus in Nexus the Liberator #1. Nexus seems to be conflicted in Nexus the Liberator #1. He does not want to kill, but will judge and kill others that he deems bad. The church did murder quite a few people in Nexus the Liberator #1. I wonder if Nexus the Liberator #1 is part of the war on the church from the radicals on the political left.

The art and colors in Nexus the Liberator #1 did not impress me. The story only seems gear toward those that hate the church. I would think that audience is pretty small. Maybe that is why Nexus the Liberator #1 wound up in a grab bag that cost Noah only five dollars. There were five or six comic books in that grab bag. Nexus the Liberator #1 is a disappointment on so many levels.
