Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings #141
SCORE: 64
I received Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings #141 as part of a grab bag
purchased some years ago at one of our local comic book stores. This
comic book sold for $3.99 when it was brand new. There are twenty pages
of comic book content within Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings #141. The first
page in Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings #141 is a recap/credits page.
Advertisements can be found all throughout the Shang-Chi and the Ten
Rings #141 comic book.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings
#141 comic book. I knew Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings #141 did not
interest me very much so it sat at the bottom of my pile for a long
time. I am now getting to the bottom of the pile. There is a page in
Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings #141 devoted to the next issue and variant
covers for this issue. Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings #141 also has
Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings #3 on it. I go with the legacy numbering
system.
The issues families can have with Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings #141 are
violence, blood, lack of attire, enticement to lust, sexual commentary,
and more. The rings are merged together into one major ring with magic.
The actual goal was to get the rings in a stone like Merlin did with
Excalibur. When the rings are merged into one a portal opens and some
ugly thing goes through and wants company.
This ugly thing gets into a man and pretty much possesses him. Shang-Chi
shows up at the MI-6 base and comes for his rings. Shang-Chi gets his
rings and fights off the possessed man. We see near the end of Shang-Chi
and the Ten Rings #141 that a woman is now possessed with this strange
creature. Shang-Chi is not in any mood to deal with the people that
stole his rings in the previous issue.
Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings #141 does get a little more interesting than
the last issue. There is more gross scenes in it though. I like how
Shang-Chi only knocks out a villain that is being controlled. He does
not see the need for excessive force in Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings
#141. He also borrows one of the planes to get to the MI-6 base in
Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings #141.
